Humor me

November 19th, 2013

So how do you manage to stay sane through two total femur replacement surgeries in a four-month span not to mention eight weeks (as of Tuesday) of tedious hours in a chair?

Let's just say you have to keep your sense of humor! That said, I wanted to share this cartoon, shared by a friend, that gave me a good chuckle:

Another thing that helps maintain sanity is reading (and writing) about interesting things such as the Clevleand Plain Dealer's live stream of a knee replacement surgery.

That surgery took place Tuesday. If you are so inclined (I am not) you can check out the video from the procedure here.

That's a hilarious cartoon. In your case, it might go something like this in a conversation with your doc after surgery "You'll never have the leg of an Olympic athlete," to which you might respond "That's OK, I never did."
